The program features three Climate Works Hubs across Illinois. The Hubs will partner with community, non-profit and faith-based organizations to:
Recruit candidates from underrepresented populations and areas identified as Environmental Justice Communities
Ensure candidates complete apprenticeship programs through career prep classes, covering basic workplace readiness skills
Provide candidates financial support through the Energy Transition Barrier Reduction Program, which covers upfront cost associated with joining an apprenticeship
